Teej is festive season for Nepali woman. In this day they worship for lord shiva for their husband's long life. In this day, the folk music and dances add more entertainment and joy in the value of teej festival. All women wear read color dress but in recent years green color is also added in their dress.
Teej is traditionally dedicated by the goddess parbati for the union of her with god shiva. It is a three-day-long celebration that combines splendid feasts as well as rigid fasting. On Teej festival those who devote do not eat and drink whole day. In This day they worship God shiva and all day they sing and dance in temples. In most of the lord shiva's temple mens are not allowded.
